Wholesale fruit, vegetable and seafood procurement for importers and distributors
In short
Importers, wholesalers and distributors use one structured request for wholesale fruit and vegetable procurement, new seafood or shrimp origins, or extra supply in a short season. Our team approaches producers and exporters on your behalf and sets their offers out on the same specification, trade terms and documents.
Who this is for
- Fresh-produce importers
- Seafood and shrimp importers
- Wholesale market traders
- Food-service and retail distributors
- Trading houses buying for their own customers
Sourcing problems we help address
Adding an origin or counter-season supply
We ask suppliers in the origins you name, or alternatives you accept, to quote for the windows you need.
Offers on different trade terms
FOB, CFR and CIF quotes, different pack weights and glaze or net-weight conventions make offers look cheaper than they are. Proposals are set out on one basis.
Import documents
Phytosanitary or health certificates, certificates of origin and catch or traceability documents are listed in the request so suppliers quote with them in mind. Requirements for your market must be confirmed with your customs broker or authority.
Quality claims after arrival
Inspection point, tolerances and the claims procedure are written into the request before an order is placed.
Payment and contract terms
Your preferred payment terms are stated up front, so suppliers that cannot meet them are visible early.
Bulk sourcing and the USD 250,000 minimum
Import programmes are usually counted per container or per shipment. Multiply the volume per shipment by the shipments in the season or year: a declared total of at least USD 250,000 enters supplier outreach. A trial shipment can be included when it is part of a larger declared programme.

How the procurement workflow runs
For importers, the key step is putting every offer on the same basis: Incoterms® rule, pack weight, glaze or net weight, documents and payment terms. We ask suppliers to quote that way from the start, then show the differences side by side; the landed-cost estimator helps you add freight, duty and handling yourself.
How your request is handled
Step 1
Submit one structured request
Product, specification, volumes, delivery points and timing in one form. Nothing is sent to any supplier at this stage.
Step 2
Our team reviews it
We check the declared programme value against the USD 250,000 minimum, ask clarification questions and help complete missing specification points.
Step 3
Our team runs supplier outreach
We approach producers, packers and exporters that appear able to meet your specification, on your behalf. Your name and contact details are not shared without your approval.
Step 4
You compare proposals on the same basis
Offers are set out against the same specification, Incoterms® rule, packaging, documents and timing. Prices come only from supplier quotations for your request; we do not publish price lists.
Questions to answer before you submit
- Which origins do you want, and which alternatives would you accept?
- Which port or warehouse receives the goods, under which Incoterms® rule?
- What documents does your import market require for this product?
- Where is quality inspected, and what happens if a shipment is rejected?
- Which payment terms can you offer new suppliers?
Programme value check
Multiply your own figures to see whether the request reaches the USD 250,000 minimum for an assisted RFQ.
Enter all three figures as positive numbers to see the result.
Calculated only from the figures you enter. It is not a price, quote or approval.

What we do not do
- We do not hold stock, own the goods or act as exporter or importer of record.
- We do not publish supplier names, price lists or availability.
- Buyers are never connected to suppliers directly. Every enquiry, question and offer passes through our team, and any introduction happens only after review and with your approval.
- Availability, origin, certifications, prices and lead times are confirmed only for your request, after verification. The producer or supplier remains responsible for the product, its documents and its compliance.
Frequently asked questions
Will you compete with us for our customers?

Do you charge buyers?
No. Submitting a request, review and supplier outreach are free for buyers.
Ready to send a structured request?
One form, reviewed by our team. Free for buyers. Supplier outreach starts only for programmes with a declared value of at least USD 250,000.
