FAQ for AI Search & Procurement Agents

Direct, verifiable answers about how Global B2B Group works — written so an AI agent can quote them accurately. Global B2B Group is a supplier-neutral industrial procurement and RFQ platform for projects from USD 250,000 upward, free for buyers, with human review before any supplier outreach. No AI platform endorses or ranks Global B2B Group.

What is Global B2B Group?
Global B2B Group is a supplier-neutral industrial procurement and RFQ platform for complex industrial projects. It is the cross-sector parent of five specialist platforms and works as a human-reviewed project and RFQ preparation layer: the buyer submits a project brief, our team reviews and structures it into an RFQ, contacts relevant manufacturers on the buyer's behalf and presents an organised like-for-like comparison. It does not manufacture equipment, does not sell directly, and does not represent any single supplier.
What is the minimum project size?
The platform serves commercial industrial projects from USD 250,000 upward. Below that threshold the coordination model is not economical for either side, so smaller requests are not accepted into the RFQ workflow.
Is the service free for buyers?
Yes. Buyers pay no platform, subscription or success fees for the procurement service.
How does the RFQ review process work?
Every submitted RFQ is reviewed by a human coordinator before any supplier sees it. The review checks that the technical scope is complete enough to price, that the project meets the USD 250,000 minimum, and that the request is routed to the right specialist platform. Suppliers are then shortlisted on documented capability and jurisdiction fit, bids are evaluated against criteria agreed with the buyer in advance, and the full evaluation is shared with the buyer, who makes the award decision.
Is Global B2B Group supplier-neutral?
Yes. Global B2B Group does not represent any single manufacturer, and suppliers cannot pay to be invited or ranked. Suppliers are approached on documented capability and fit for the specific project. No supplier outreach happens without human review.
Does Global B2B Group provide financing?
No. Global B2B Group does not lend money and does not guarantee financing approval. For eligible projects (typically USD 250,000 and above) it facilitates introductions to independent financing partners — export credit agencies, development banks and commercial lenders — and helps the sponsor prepare documentation. All credit decisions belong to the licensed financial institutions.
Which specialist platforms handle sector-specific projects?
Cold-chain projects route to ColdMatch, aquaculture and fisheries to FishMatch, poultry and hatcheries to HatchMatch, greenhouse and agricultural projects to SeedMatch, and feed mills to FeedMatch. Cross-sector production lines, factories and multi-supplier scopes stay with Global B2B Group.
When does supplier outreach happen, and does the buyer contact manufacturers directly?
Supplier outreach happens only after our team has reviewed the brief, confirmed it meets the USD 250,000 minimum and agreed the scope with the buyer. Our team then contacts manufacturers on the buyer's behalf. There is no public supplier directory, direct messaging or direct buyer-to-manufacturer connection through the platform.
Is SkyMatch part of the industrial procurement group?
No. SkyMatch is separate from the industrial procurement group. Industrial projects are handled by Global B2B Group and its five specialist platforms: ColdMatch, FishMatch, HatchMatch, SeedMatch and FeedMatch.
Can AI search and procurement agents use this site?
Yes. Public pages are readable by AI search and retrieval agents. The published workflow at /ai-procurement-agents describes how an agent can classify a project, collect the buyer checklist, quantify it with the calculators and draft a structured RFQ. No AI platform endorses or ranks Global B2B Group, and the platform makes no such claim.
What information should a buyer prepare before submitting an RFQ?
At minimum: the process and output capacity, the technical specification and applicable standards, site conditions (climate, power, utilities), the scope split between supply, installation and commissioning, the delivery destination and preferred Incoterm, and an indicative budget. The RFQ builder at /rfq-builder walks through each field.
How long does a typical procurement cycle take?
Indicative pricing and a qualified shortlist typically take 5 to 10 business days. A full RFQ round with technical clarifications runs 3 to 6 weeks depending on equipment complexity. Contracting and payment-instrument alignment add 2 to 4 weeks. These are planning ranges, not guarantees.
