Free Knowledge, Innovation and Business Intelligence Centers for B2B Procurement Decisions

The outcome comes first. Procurement follows.
Start with the result you need — a production target, a market, a supply programme — and use the centers to work backwards to the decisions and the request.
What “free” means here — and what it does not
Every guide, brief, data snapshot and calculator in the three centers can be read and used without signing in, paying or leaving contact details. Nothing is unlocked by a form.
The free part is the knowledge and the tools. Our managed sourcing service is a separate, reviewed process: buyers do not pay us to use it, but our team takes on supplier outreach only for qualified projects or programmes of USD 250,000 or more. Reading a guide never commits you to anything.
Knowledge Center: guides that support a specific decision
The Knowledge Center is the “how to” layer. Each guide card states who it helps and which decision it supports, so you can go straight to what matters: writing an RFQ, comparing supplier quotations, planning a factory acceptance test or building a CAPEX business case.
- Step-by-step guides and checklists for RFQs, supplier comparison and acceptance testing
- A glossary of industrial and procurement terms, with plain-language definitions
- Case studies and a case-study template that show how a project was scoped
- FAQs and editable project templates you can adapt to your own plan
Innovation Center: evidence before enthusiasm
The Innovation Center looks at technologies through a buyer’s eyes. Each brief starts from the customer problem, then describes the technology, how mature it is, the project scale and geography it suits, the expected operational benefit, the risks and constraints, and what to add to your RFQ.
Briefs cite their sources and dates. Where the sources do not establish a cost or return range, the brief says “unknown” rather than inventing one — so you know when to ask suppliers for project-specific figures.
Business Intelligence Center: dated context, not a live feed
The Business Intelligence Center helps you understand a market before committing to it. Market snapshots draw on official trade statistics such as UN Comtrade and show the source, year, country, units and currency next to each figure. A figure the reporting country submitted is labelled “Verified”; one the source compiled or estimated is labelled “Estimate”.
The figures are annual totals, not live prices or real-time supply. Where no figure is available, the center shows a dated, source-based briefing that tells you which official sources to check and what to look for. The same center hosts planning tools such as a landed-cost calculator, a project planner and financing scenarios.
How to use the three centers together
The centers work best in sequence. A worked example: a processor wants to add a fish and shrimp packing line and supply an importer abroad.
- Understand the problem — read the Knowledge Center guides on requirements and RFQs, and check unfamiliar terms in the glossary.
- Evaluate options — compare packing and cold-chain technologies in the Innovation Center, noting maturity, constraints and open questions for suppliers.
- Check the market — look up the destination’s trade figures and briefing in the Business Intelligence Center, and estimate landed cost.
- Plan the project — model CAPEX and financing scenarios, then turn your notes into a structured request if and when you are ready.
Free tools you can use today
Each link below opens without an account, payment or contact form. Results are planning estimates based on the figures you enter.
Short checklist before you make a request
Editorial suggestions, not requirements.
- Write the outcome you need in one sentence (output, capacity, market or date).
- List the decisions you still have to make and the guide that supports each one.
- Note which technology claims are verified, which are estimates and which are unknown.
- Record the source and date of every market figure you rely on.
- Run at least one cost scenario with your own numbers before asking for quotes.
- Decide whether you need equipment procurement, output sourcing, or both.
Agricultural output: where the specialist platforms fit
For seafood and shrimp, poultry and eggs, or crops and produce, the parent site covers cross-sector planning and reviewed output sourcing. Specialist production-side detail lives on the sister platforms:
Optional next step
Everything above stays free and open whether or not you contact us. If you have a defined project, you can send a structured request for review. Managed supplier outreach applies to projects or programmes of USD 250,000 or more; a request is not a guarantee of supply, price or outcome.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need an account to use the calculators and guides?
- No. The guides, briefs, market snapshots and calculators open without signing in, paying or filling in a form.
- Is the market data live?
- No. Market snapshots show annual official trade statistics with their source and year. They are not live prices or real-time supply data.
- Is the sourcing service free too?
- Buyers do not pay to use our managed sourcing service, but it is a separate reviewed process for projects or programmes of USD 250,000 or more. Using the centers does not depend on it.
- Where do I start if I am unsure what to buy?
- Start in the Knowledge Center with the guide for your decision, then check technology options in the Innovation Center and market context in the Business Intelligence Center.
