Mining Procurement Services

We support mining developers, operators and public-sector authorities running procurement for mineral extraction, processing and associated infrastructure. From feasibility through commissioning, we prepare bankable procurement packages and coordinate qualified suppliers and financiers.

Mining developers, operators, public authorities

Scope we cover

Mobile and fixed mining equipment, crushing and grinding, flotation and leaching lines, tailings management, mine ventilation, camp and site infrastructure, and the associated EPC contracts.

Bankability first

Mining projects are financed against the reserve, the cash costs and the offtake. Procurement is the point where cash costs are locked in for years, so a defensible technical selection and pricing is central to bankability — not a post-financing exercise.

ESG and country risk

We build ESG assessment (tailings, water, community, closure) and country risk into the procurement decision from the start, in line with what IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles lenders require.

Financing structures

Most mining developments blend sponsor equity, streaming or royalty financing, offtake pre-financing, commercial bank project finance, and — where the buyer country qualifies — DFI participation. We route the file to the right combination.

Managed industrial procurement services

Requirement scoping, qualified supplier sourcing, RFQ management, bid normalisation and financing routing for capital equipment and EPC projects — free for buyers. See the procurement service scope, eight-step process and pricing model, or start with the industrial RFQ guide.

FAQ

What does mining procurement include?

Procurement of the mobile fleet, fixed processing plant, tailings and water infrastructure, camp and site facilities, and the associated engineering and EPC contracts. It also includes long-lead-item planning and spares strategy for operations.

Do you work with junior miners?

Yes. We work with junior miners advancing from feasibility to construction, and with mid-tier producers building new mines or expanding existing ones. Minimum project size is USD 1M procurement value.

How is ESG handled in the procurement?

We align the procurement to IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles from the RFQ stage. Suppliers are asked to demonstrate the technical and operational features (tailings, water, energy, closure) the standards require, and the evaluation matrix scores them accordingly.

Can you help with offtake and streaming?

We help structure the procurement so it is compatible with common offtake and streaming structures. The offtake or streaming negotiation itself is led by the sponsor's financial adviser; we align the procurement documentation to what those financiers require.

Which geographies do you cover?

The strongest coverage is West Africa, Southern Africa, the Andes, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. We also work with jurisdictions where local content or ECA rules require a specific supplier country of origin.
