Panama logistics and port-area infrastructure procurement
For private owners planning warehouses, cold rooms, material handling or processing and packaging lines around Panama's port and logistics zones.
Short answer
Global B2B Group helps private buyers in Panama scope and compare offers for multi-package logistics and industrial projects from USD 250,000: warehouses and racking, cold rooms, conveyors and sortation, packaging lines, utilities and automation. Our team prepares one RFQ, approaches suitable suppliers on your behalf and returns offers rebuilt on the same basis.
We do not take part in public tenders or concessions, including the Panama Canal Authority's port-terminal process, and we do not represent any bidder in them.
Categories we can scope for Panama projects
| Package | Define before the RFQ | Main comparison criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Logistics warehouse & racking | Pallet positions, throughput (pallets/h), clear height, floor load | Racking design standard, seismic and wind basis, installation scope |
| Cold rooms & temperature zones | Temperature per zone, product load, door cycles, ambient design (hot, humid) | Energy use at stated conditions, refrigerant, panel spec, service coverage |
| Material handling & sortation | Units/h, carton or pallet range, WMS interface | Rated vs. demonstrated throughput, spares list, software ownership |
| Packaging & processing lines | Product, formats, packs/min or kg/h, hygiene class | OEE assumptions, changeover time, FAT/SAT criteria |
| Utilities & power quality | Connected load, backup power, compressed air, water | Efficiency at duty point, maintenance intervals, local parts |
Panama-specific procurement criteria
- One Incoterms 2020 rule and named place for every bidder (for example DAP to site, or CIF to the named port).
- Customs and import handling responsibility, and whether the site is inside a special economic or free-zone regime — confirm with the National Customs Authority (ANA) and your customs broker.
- Environmental impact study category and timing with MiAmbiente before the schedule is fixed.
- Design for hot, humid and corrosive coastal conditions: equipment ratings, coatings and cooling capacity at site ambient.
- Spanish-language manuals, labels and operator training, and the location of after-sales service.
- Electrical supply voltage and frequency at site, and power-quality protection.
- Separate dates for engineering, manufacturing, shipping, installation and commissioning.
- Measurable FAT and SAT criteria tied to payment milestones.

Start a project brief
Seven questions, about two minutes. Your answers open the RFQ builder pre-filled; you add contact details, confirm consent and submit there. Nothing is sent from this box.
Our team reviews every brief by hand. We contact suppliers on your behalf; we never pass your details straight to a supplier.
Free for buyers and supplier-neutral: no supplier pays to be included or recommended. A person on our team reviews every request before any supplier outreach. We have no office in Panama and no public-tender role. We do not guarantee prices, savings or schedules. Projects from USD 250,000.
Frequently asked questions
Can I bid on the Panama Canal port terminals through Global B2B Group?
No. The Corozal and Telfers terminal concessions are run by the Panama Canal Authority under its own prequalification rules, and companies take part directly. Global B2B Group has no role, access or status in that process. We work only for private buyers who issue their own RFQ.
Which Panama projects does Global B2B Group handle?
Privately owned projects of at least USD 250,000 that combine several packages — for example a logistics warehouse with racking, cold rooms and packaging lines, or a plant with utilities and automation. Cold-storage-only projects are routed to our sister platform ColdMatch.
Which Incoterm should a Panama warehouse or line RFQ use?
Choose one Incoterms 2020 rule for all bidders — for example CIF or DAP to the named Panamanian port or site — so freight, insurance and risk transfer are priced on the same basis. Import duties, local transport and installation should then be listed as separate rows.
Is an environmental impact study needed?
Many construction and industrial projects in Panama require an environmental impact study evaluated by the Ministry of Environment (MiAmbiente). Confirm the category for your site with MiAmbiente and your local advisers before fixing the schedule in the RFQ.
What does the service cost the buyer?
Nothing. The service is free for buyers and supplier-neutral; no supplier pays to be recommended. Requests below USD 250,000 stay on file but do not enter supplier outreach.
