Frequently asked questions about working with Global B2B Group

14 questions · Updated 2026-09-30

Short answer

Global B2B Group is an independent, human-reviewed procurement platform. We structure your project, research and verify manufacturers, and make controlled supplier introductions only after your approval — from roughly US$250,000 upward. Below are the questions buyers ask us most about how the process works.

How does a controlled supplier introduction work, step by step?

You describe the project and its requirements; we structure them into a specification and a single request for quotation. Our team researches and shortlists capable manufacturers, a human reviewer checks every detail, and only after approval is an introduction made to a selected supplier. Nothing is automated and no buyer details leave the platform before that approval.

Will my contact details or documents be shared with suppliers?

No. Your information stays inside Global B2B Group until you explicitly approve a specific introduction. Even then, only the details needed for that supplier to quote are released — never your full file — and you decide what each supplier sees.

Is there a minimum project size?

Yes. Our commercial focus starts at projects of roughly US$250,000 and above — complete production lines, factory equipment packages and cross-border industrial purchases. Smaller requests are usually better served by local distributors, and we will say so honestly.

Which industries and equipment types do you cover?

Industrial manufacturing across food and agro processing, packaging and filling lines, plastics, metalworking, wood, recycling, energy-saving equipment and turnkey factory projects. Specialist needs are routed only after human review to a dedicated platform — never through an open directory.

I already have quotations from suppliers. Can you still help?

Yes. A frequent starting point is comparing existing offers: we normalise them to the same technical and commercial basis, flag missing items such as commissioning, spare parts and shipping terms, and map total cost of ownership. If a gap appears, we can run a targeted second round through a structured RFQ.

Who performs the factory acceptance test, and can you attend it?

The FAT is performed against the acceptance criteria defined in your specification. We prepare the test protocol, review results and, for major projects, coordinate independent inspection or attendance at the manufacturer's works. We are not a certification body — we structure and review, and the acceptance decision stays yours.

What happens if a machine fails its acceptance test?

A documented specification and FAT protocol exist precisely for this. Failures are logged against the acceptance criteria, the supplier receives a punch list with deadlines, and re-testing follows. Because the criteria were agreed before the deposit, the buyer is negotiating from a documented position rather than an argument.

How do you check that a supplier is real and capable?

Before any introduction we review company registration, production references for similar equipment, export history, capacity against your volume, and after-sales support. This research is done by people, recorded in the project file, and shared with you — it is not an automated badge on a listing page.

Can I bring my own suppliers into the process?

Yes. If you already know a manufacturer you want to work with, we can structure the specification and contract around them and run the same verification and acceptance review. Many projects mix buyer-nominated suppliers with shortlisted candidates so offers arrive on a comparable basis.

Do you replace our procurement team or work alongside it?

Alongside. We provide the structure, research and controlled introductions; your team keeps full visibility of every document, comparison and decision. Consultants and EPC teams also use the platform to run client projects through the same reviewed pathway.

Which languages do you work in?

Buyer guides, calculators and service pages are published in English, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese, with additional languages across specialist markets. The project team works in English and coordinates translation of specifications and quotations where needed.

How do I start a project?

Submit the project through the RFQ builder or the buyer registration form: what the line or machine must produce, target capacity, timeline and budget range. A team member reviews it, asks clarifying questions, and the structured process starts from there — no supplier is contacted at that stage.

What does it cost the buyer?

Structuring the project, the requirement specification and the initial market mapping are free. Paid engagement applies when a project moves into managed sourcing, tender comparison or acceptance support — quoted transparently before any commitment, with no success fee hidden in supplier prices.

What does Global B2B Group explicitly not do?

We are not a manufacturer, an engineering contractor, a lender or an insurer, and we do not certify equipment or approve financing. We map financing options with independent providers and structure introductions — the decision and the contract always remain between you and the selected supplier.

Summary

Every project starts with the requirement, not the supplier. Define what the equipment must do, let us research and verify manufacturers, review the comparison, and approve each introduction yourself. Financing is mapped with independent providers, and acceptance is tested against criteria agreed before any deposit.
