Recommended agent workflow

  1. 1. Establish the project, not the machine

    Confirm output target, site, utilities and timeline before any cost model. A CapEx figure built on an undefined scope is not usable in an approval paper.

  2. 2. Run the CapEx model

    Enter the supplier's equipment price plus freight, duties, civil, electrical, installation, commissioning, training, spares, contingency and working capital. Report equipment-only, installed and total project CapEx separately, and state which categories were left blank.

  3. 3. Run the TCO model on the same scope

    Feed the total project CapEx into the TCO calculator with energy, labour, maintenance, spares, consumables, downtime, escalation, discount rate and residual value. Report lifetime TCO, present-value TCO and cost per unit.

  4. 4. Compare proposals on normalised scope

    Use /supplier-proposal-comparison to align inclusions before comparing price. The lowest equipment price is frequently not the lowest project cost or the lowest lifecycle cost.

Suppliers cannot pay for inclusion, shortlisting, ranking, placement or recommendation, and the supplier-side fee does not influence any calculator input, assumption, output or recommendation.

Financing is introductions to independent third-party providers only. Global B2B Group is not a manufacturer, supplier, distributor, reseller, EPC contractor, engineering consultancy, lender, bank, credit provider, financial advisor, investment advisor, insurer or underwriter, and receives no payment for steering a buyer to any financing provider.

Limitations to state alongside any figure

  • Planning-grade estimates only. Neither model is a quotation, a valuation, a quantity survey, an engineering lifecycle study or a financing approval.
  • Single currency and pre-tax. The TCO model excludes tax, depreciation shields, interest and currency risk.
  • Categories left blank are treated as zero and reported as excluded. Land, permits and financing fees are not included unless entered.
  • Downtime is a user estimate, not a measured availability figure.
