Global B2B Group actively works to prevent fraud, impersonation, invoice manipulation and misuse of the marketplace. This policy explains typical red flags, the measures the Platform may apply, and what users can do to protect themselves.
1. Prohibited fraud-related activity
- False identity, forged corporate documents or fabricated certifications;
- Impersonation of another supplier, buyer or public authority;
- Fictitious RFQs designed to extract prices or scrape supplier data;
- Invoice manipulation, bank-details substitution ("payment redirection fraud");
- Misuse of Platform logos, badges or email templates in phishing;
- Use of the Platform to launder proceeds of fraud or unlawful activity.
2. Buyer safety guidance
Always verify a supplier's bank details in-person or by callback using a number obtained independently — never a number in the same email that changed the account. Prefer letters of credit or reputable escrow arrangements for high-value first-time transactions. Request pre-shipment inspection by a recognised inspection agency.
3. Supplier safety guidance
Verify the buyer's corporate identity and beneficial owner before releasing customised specifications, tooling drawings or samples of value. Beware of unusually urgent oversize orders paid via unfamiliar routes.
4. Platform measures we may apply
- Identity and corporate verification during onboarding;
- Behavioural and pattern monitoring on RFQs and messages;
- Rate limits and abuse controls on forms and endpoints;
- Screening against public sanctions and adverse-media lists;
- Cooperation with lawful requests from banks and authorities investigating fraud.
5. Reporting fraud
Report suspected fraud, phishing, impersonation or account takeover to security@globalb2bgroup.com. Include headers, screenshots and the account or RFQ reference where possible.
6. Enforcement
Global B2B Group may warn, restrict, suspend or permanently terminate accounts, RFQs and introductions linked to fraudulent activity, preserve evidence for competent authorities, and pursue any other remedy available, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
